SDQ membership is open to registered salaried medical practitioners who are employed in Queensland. That means, if you are employed by Queensland Health, private hospitals, or private medical centres or clinics, you can join SDQ.
Salaried Medical Practitioners who are eligible to join SDQ include interns, house officers, registrars, career medical officers, specialists, medical superintendents, government medical officers and medical superintendants with right of private practice.
Associate membership exists for: Medical Students, medical practitioners temporarily absent from Queensland and retired practitioners
Annual membership fees include:
Associate Membership Free
Interns and Supervised Practice IMG's: $50
Junior Medical Officers: $300
Associate Membership Free

Senior Medical Officers:$600
Please note- membership is based on what you can afford and so reflects the classification level at which you are employed eg: registrars employed in SMO positions are classified as SMOʼs for membership fee.

A New Membership Application Form needs to be filled out by every new member. It is important to fill this out as it confers membership to the federal union body (ASMOF) as well for no extra charge. You will need to fill in either a membership payment form or pay on line as well.
