SDQ members are employed in Quensland Health, Mater Misreicordiae Public Hospitals South Brisbane, Australian Red Cross Blood Service, Royal Flying Doctor Service as well private hospital and medical practices throughout Queensland.

Only employees of Queensland Health and the Mater are employed under an award and certified agreements. The enterprise bargaining agreements must be read in conjunction with the award, as wherever there is a gap in the agreement it reverts to the award. In addition there are extra conditions held in IRM's, directives, policies and circulars these can be found on the Queensland Health website  For convenience we have downloaded the applicable medical IRM's, Policies, Directives and Circulars. It  should be noted that the Queensland government is currently in a phase of consolidation of IRM's such that they will be captured and replaced by Q-health policy.
